Hi, all. I've been wanting to do a charity project through my photo prints for Janet Liang, a brave and inspiring young woman who was suffering from cancer. Unfortunately, she passed away this past Wednesday. It was a really difficult time; I cried and cried. I don't know her in person, but I've been following her story since April or May and I really do feel like she's really become a friend. Ever since I saw her first video, I felt so overwhelmed with a desire to help. I have wanted to help many other patients before, but Janet really connected to me. When I saw the video of her breaking down crying saying how much she really didn't want to leave this world behind, I cried along with her and I wanted more than anything for her to get well. Ever since that spring day when I first got to know Janet's story, I have literally been praying for her every night. The news of her death hit me hard. Not to sound like a complete religious freak, but somehow, I was so sure that God would heal her. I can't even explain the emotions I felt because it was just such a turmoil. Part of me was in disbelief. The other part of me felt more sad than I've ever felt. Another part of me felt confused. I still can't fathom why or how such a beautiful and amazing person escaped from us. It is comforting to know, though, that Janet is finally released from the pain that she's been suffering.
I sincerely send my thoughts and prayers to Janet's family, friends, and everyone who was lucky enough to have known her. All the postive adjectives in the world can't explain how strong of a person Janet was. Despite her illness, she was active in raising awareness for cancer and reaching out to help others.

It is in loving memory of Janet that I announce that ALL proceeds made from photo prints and art gift store will go towards helping fund Janet Liang's funeral. This will last until Janet's funeral donation deadline. Once I sell enough and donate, I will provide a receipt of the donation. The reason why I'm choosing to do this and not to donate directly is because I can't donate directly. I'm 15, so this is the only money I receive that's truly MINE. I told my family and friends to donate as well, but I myself want to help as much as possible. I'm also too young to be a bone marrow donor, so I couldn't even register to donate to Janet, as much as I wanted to.

If you'd like to donate through buying my photo pieces, please click here: re-dream.deviantart.com/prints…

If you'd like to donate to Janet directly, please visit her website here: helpingjanet.com

Thank you for reading! I'm just a 15-year-old girl trying to do the best she can to help.

R.I.P Janet Liang; your memory will never ever part from us.

Hi!
You may have noticed that the number of my journal entries and the number of my artwork have greatly decreased.. Yes, indeed, they have. The reason is that DeviantART very kindly reminded me a few weeks ago that indeed, I've already been here for a year. :D

However, while I was browsing through my gallery, I found that I was not content with a lot of my artwork, especially my old ones... so, I deleted them. Of course, it was not easy destroying something that I had created, so I saved them on to my own flash drive. They're not gone forever, don't worry, haha! :p Anyway, if you would like to see one of the artworks for whatever reason, please personally message me and I will send it to you. Thank you so much for supporting me for a whole year so far!

P.S. Remember Heartify Art? It's not gone down the drain, I promise! I will set it up when I have time... (aka when I graduate from high school which is in.. 2 years -_-) <-sorry for the wait... D:

Also, please visit my new blog  feiinging.blogspot.com

 love, love love,
Sunny!

I am starting a new project called Heartify Art, AKA Project Re-Dream. (Haven't decided on the name yet.) It will basically be a community of artists and designers joining together to create art that tackles issues teenagers often go through such as cyberbullying/bullying, etc. This will be a group project, so I would love for anyone who is interested to join me!

-ALL PROCEEDS MADE FROM THIS PROJECT WILL BE DONATED TO A CHARITY OF YOUR CHOICE.

Here are some FAQs:

Q: If I want to sign up, how much time do I need to spend on this:

A: I know everyone's busy, I am very busy as well. YOU DON'T NEED A LOT OF TIME AT ALL! Maybe at least an hour every TWO weeks will be good enough. If you want to help code the site, I will just contact you whenever I have a question (Coding is my weakness :P) Fair enough? I am also very flexible, so even if you can get on only like once a year, that will be fine with me. :)

Q: How will you make money to donate?

A: By using GoogleADs and by turning my artwork into merchandise. I am already planning to turn a few typography pieces into tee-shirts, baseball caps, key chains, and spiral notebooks. Once I get a team of artists, they have a choice of whether or not to do the same.

Q: Do I need to know you personally to sign up?

A: Absolutely not!!!

Q: Then will you have personal meetings?

A: No, I am not planning on it. This is an ONLINE project.

Q: How long will it take to get set up for this project?

A: Depends on how busy my school is. I still haven't gotten a domain name yet, so that's first on the list. Then, it'll probably take a month to code everything. Then a month more to add artwork and fix bugs. So, probably 3-4 months.

Q: How do I sign up?

A: RIGHT HERE! :D

To sign up, just tell me what you're good at (e.g. coding, traditional art, digital art, layout design, etc....) and why you are interested. Remember, time is not a problem! As I said before, even if you can only spare 5 minutes every month, that will be fine.

I Was Tagged!

3 min read
I haven't written a journal entry in a LOOOONG time! D: Anyway, I was tagged by :iconyessy04maple: so I'm gonna give it a try ^^
Thanks a bunch, Yessy, for tagging me!!! :D It looks like fun... I was tagged on my website too, but never really tried it. O_O Maybe I should. ANYWAY, I will stop ranting and try it now. :P

1. I have a little 4-year-old brother.
2. My pet peeve is people who have A TON of dirt under their nails (the tip of their nails look all dirty). I think it's sort of gross :(
3. I love kpop!!! My favorite group is Super Junior.
4. I'm really passionate about COMPLETELY ending discrimanation... my 8th grade history teacher totally inspired me even more. :D
5. I love to shop at Forever 21/For Love 21!
6. I love Aeropostale clothes, but I HATE how they ALL say "Aeropostale" on them. I guess it's their own unique style, but I feel like I am advertising for them and yet, I have to pay THEM. :(
7. I wish I was better at debate. :( All my friends are debaters, so I always lose arguments to them. :P Ya know, public forum debate is hard and I can't even understand policy debate! D:
8. Another pet peeve of mine is when people purposely swear every other word to sound cool.
9. I think the funniest comedian is Kevjumba's dad (:
10. Honestly, I don't think I have enough dA friends to tag... I am such an uncool kitten. T_T

* The rules:
1, You must post these rules.
2, Each tagged person must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3, You have to choose and tag 10 people and post their icons on the same journal.
4, Go to their pages and tell them you tagged them.
5, No tag backs
Well, let's start!

I am tagging: :iconalekseisabel: :iconofthespectrum: :iconnicsaysmoo: :iconohemjayy: :iconlovemanor: :iconsoftmist93: :iconreecito: :iconlivyaic:

YEA. 8 should be good enough, right? X.X
